Published by [Ann Bauer](https://blog.serviceideas.com/author/ann-bauer) on Dec 1, 2017 2:01:00 PM ![NSF.jpg](https://blog.serviceideas.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Blog%20Images/NSF.jpg?width=157&name=NSF.jpg) You may have seen this little symbol at some point in time, but you may be unclear on what it stands for. **NSF ([National Science Foundation](http://www.nsf.gov/))** is an International organization that holds the highest standard of safety in the market. But what is it? [Public Health](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_health) & [Safety organization](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safety_standards) that is not-for-profit/non-governmental world leader in standards development, [product certification](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Product_certification), education and [risk-assessment](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Risk_assessment) for public health & safety. The **NSF Mark** is recognized globally for its value and is respected by regulatory agencies at the local, state and federal level. So what does that mean for you as a consumer? When you purchase an **NSF** product, you can be guaranteed of 3 things: 1. Constructed from **Food Safe Materials** 2. Design has been **tested for durability and clean-ability** by meeting specific production qualifications 3. **Held to exacting standards across the board** — from production to final delivery, the product was designed to meet if not exceed specific criteria With those aspects in mind, you can see why **NSF** products will be more of an investment than those that have not been certified. However, the value behind these products is immeasurable.  ![Signa-Air Airpot Glass Lined.png](https://blog.serviceideas.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Blog%20Images/Signa-Air%20Airpot%20Glass%20Lined.png?width=208&name=Signa-Air%20Airpot%20Glass%20Lined.png)  Signa-Air airpots (in both Glass and Stainless-lined) and our Flow Control Carafes   We at Service Ideas take pride in our work, and are pleased to have increased our **NSF [Certified](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certification)** offerings by adding products such as our **Signa-Air airpots**, **Flow Control Carafes** and **Portion Control Server**. In addition, by partnering with companies such as **Stanley® Commercial** — who offer nothing but NSF Certified products — we are able to pass some of these great items onto you, the consumer.   [![Stanley Commercial® Products Line — NSF Certified](https://blog.serviceideas.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/s_comm-2007-corrected-cropped_group_unlic_c_110111-4.jpg?width=331&height=270&name=s_comm-2007-corrected-cropped_group_unlic_c_110111-4.jpg)](https://blog.serviceideas.com/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/s_comm-2007-corrected-cropped_group_unlic_c_110111-5.jpg) Stanley Commercial® Products Line — NSF Certified   We hope you’ve found this blog post helpful, and we look forward to serving you soon.
