Last week, our Service Ideas team was thrilled to be one of the 2,100+ manufacturers and suppliers exhibiting at the National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show®. The Show experienced an 8% growth of total registrants compared to 2022, hosting nearly 55,000 foodservice professionals from around the world.
To be in the same space with this many interested and engaged peers in our industry is always exciting, as it gives us the opportunity to get immediate feedback from the people who use and distribute our products. This feedback is vitally important for the continued improvement and development of our products and service.
Many of the new products and improvements that were popular in the booth this year, started with a conversation during a previous show. Read on to see some of these product highlights from Service Ideas' booth #3624.
White Top SteelVac™ Creamers
"You should make these in white."
What took us so long?! Our original SteelVac™ Creamers have been popular in restaurants and coffee shops for over 10 years. Designed to hold and keep dairy and non-dairy creamers cold for 4-6 hours, it only makes sense that the color of the lid matches the contents. So, we took that comment to heart and quickly extended the line to include the new color. In stock and available today!
New and Improved Non-Slip Silicone Tray
"Our glasses keep tipping off the silicone mat."
A bar tray that causes glasses to tip over? Not acceptable! Despite the popularity of this item, we decided to increase the size of the rubber mat to improve the stability of the surface. Now the non-slip surface extends closer to the edge of the tray, so there is a larger surface area to place your glass. The improved product will replace the current in a rolling change coming soon in late summer/early fall.
New Flame Free™ Thermo-Urn™ Designs
"I wish this was available in another look."
Our Flame Free™ Thermo-Urn™ was the original vacuum-insulated coffee urn on the market. That doesn't mean we can just quit there though! At NRA, we showed off some new design concepts and configurations and they were well received, to say the least. New lid designs, new knobs, and new colors are set to hit shelves this fall.
New 12-Sided Bar Trays
"How about expanding the Non-Slip Tray line?"
The durability and sleek design of our Non-Slip Removable Bar Trays have made them the go-to for bars and restaurants, and since adding more Metallic Element finishes to the line, they have continued to grow in popularity. Now we're adding even more options with a cool geometric design, available in 5 finishes.
Improved Table Signs
"I'd love a sign to match the other Metallic Elements items."
Last year we added another laser-cut sign style to our catalog. This year, we've improved these signs by removing excess material on shorter words like "oat" and "tea." And they're all available in the Metallic Elements finishes! Hip, hip, hooray, for more items to match your metallic tablescapes!
Brewing Up a New Lid Design
"This brew-thru lid could be so much better."
Over the years, we've made many improvements to our gravity servers to meet the requirements of the most popular brewers being used in the field. Most recently, we've been working on a smarter design to make it easier to fill and empty the server. Prototypes are in the works and we're excited to roll out this new dispenser design by the end of the year.
